Sitting Here With The Family

I am sitting here with the family watching TV, noticing how sweet life can be.  Times are tough right now for us but there are good moments…luckily.  Life has been going good for us, at least so much so that I am keeping on top of the house payment.  I do have to say that paying for health insurance sucks!  That is the biggest joke! 

It’s pretty cool as well as we watch “I Love the 80’s” on VH1.  It’s awesome to see all the fun stuff I grew up with during my younger years.  In fact, just the other day I was driving Eli around, trying to get him to sleep, when I decided to drive around Kirk’s old neighborhood.  Oh man!  I was hit with a memory of me and Kirk in the first house he had when I met him.  It was weird to have such an obscure memory pop into my head, after that it was nostalgia city as I drove around our old stomping grounds.  I think when we die and get into the afterlife I hope we will be able to re-live some of our past memories.  I was very lucky to have a very FUN childhood.  Even my junior high years were a blast! 

In fact I just had another memory pop into my head!  I think Melanie and Michelle were going through their first “woman cycle”.  I went over to their house to see if they wanted to do something asking: “Do you guys want to do something?”, they then replied “WE’RE NOT GUYS!” and shut the door in my face!

  1. Night games at the park in provo. We would get all the cousins dress in black and play till late. I am glad that we had a family were Fun was “clean” we kept us from going and doing things that would get us into trouble! Amongst the other million of wierd things we would talk each other into doing…like getting cody to wear a girls swimsuit and run down the street in it! ( Ihave to womder if that is where them dressing up as females started)!!!

  3. Oh man Cody!!! I think that is why he dresses like a woman every Halloween.

    Wow Shan! I haven’t thought about that stuff in a long time. The rocks were awesome! They just walked right by without even seeing us. Oh man so many good times.

  4. I get really nostalgiac just being in my high school
    so many things have happened at my school. all of them touched my life and the people who left a handprint on my heart.
    The best and worst year of my life happened my sophomore year
    and just walking into that building gives me good memories.

  5. Playing night games- Sleepouts in the backyard-Remember that one new years we ate so much candy I unded up puking all night–Brian wouldn’t sleep in our basement for awhile because he thought we had spiders–scotts store and all that candy–So many memories :)

  8. dont feel to bad melanie I grabbed his arm and popped a cyst (how do you spell that?) Brian was not happy with me…but hay at least he didnt have to pay to get rid of it any more…

  9. Hello everyone, It has been forever since I wrote on “THE BLOG”
    This is not a real memory so to speak but since I am in Germany and thought about the blog, I guess it was a memory or am I rambling…still jet laggy I guess.
