Family and new office location

Family

Elias is doing great.  He is climbing and exploring like mad.  He took a tumble off our night stand the other day.  He was so intent on flicking the light switch on and off that he took a header off the side!  Luckily it wasn’t too far of a drop.  Bonked his head a little.  He got over it quickly once he discovered that he could climb on something else!

He is saying and signing quite a few words now.  It’s really exciting to see his vocabulary grow.  I was putting on my shoes the other day when he started saying “shoo” and making the sign for shoes.  I was excited!  He picks up so much from the Signing Time videos it’s crazy.

Mary and I have been trying to teach him to kiss off and on for a while.  Just today he started giving us kisses!  It’s the coolest thing in the world.

Mary and I have also been discussing when we are going to start on our second kid.  I have to say I am nervous and scared.  I have no idea how I am going to support the growing family.  But, I have to do it.  I know things will work out.  It’s still scary!
We are thinking of starting for kid #2 in December.

Work

It’s been a rough week and a half.  All of last week I spent my work days moving and clearing out the warehouse and offices of our 1145 S. 1680 W. location.  Man my back is sore!  You never realize how much CRAP you accumulate until you have to move.  There was a load of junk, useless items and other filth that just piled up.  I think there was some stuff that someone had the good intention of repairing, but they must have forgotten about it.

I moved 4 different loads of pallet racking.  Pallet racks aren’t too heavy at the start of the day.  As the day progresses they seem to increase in weight!  Those stupid things are awkward and a pain to take down.  Luckily I had help on the last couple of runs to the new warehouse.

The new location is now 1273 N. State St., Orem.  I think once we get settled and unpacked we will start increasing business.  Having a State St. location is going to be very good for brand exposure.  It will be nice to start getting more sales for Natural Edge.

Come on…Really?!

I will start with my birthday.  I am now 32 years old!  It’s pretty strange to think about.  I know it’s not much different than 31 or 30, but it still [...]

The Girls Are Here!

After a VERY busy day on Saturday the bees(girls) are finally in their home! The second I woke up I was scrambling to get things built for the bees. I still hadn’t finished the hive stand, which also needed to be set in the ground with concrete.
In addition to that I was helping [...]

Ren Faire…My Lord

Date posted: April 11, 2009

Mary, Elias and I just got back from San Diego! After hearing about my love of anything medieval, we were invited by Mary’s aunt and uncle to visit them during the Ren Faire. We took them up on the offer and headed down to San Diego. It was a blast! I was surprised to see [...]

Yard work time! And general family info.

Date posted: March 1, 2009

With the warm weather comes the ‘dreaded’ yard work time. That’s what I initially thought on Saturday morning. But as I got going with the work I started to realize I was enjoying the work. I am sure this will change as the weather gets into the nuclear furnace levels come July/August. But right now [...]

For the past few months I have been seeing the above banner on many of the sites I visit.  I kept saying to myself that I need to watch the show but I never got around to it.  I am a big fan of Joss Whedon(Firefly, Serenity) and Nathan Fillion so this has to be a [...]

2008 Year In Review.

Date posted: January 14, 2009

I have come to realize that there are quite a few people out there that write a family letter at the end of the year giving a quick overview for that year. That is a pretty good idea. It allows everyone to read about your exploits without having to hear it third party.  Without further [...]

Happy Holidays!

Date posted: December 21, 2008

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!  I put an exclamation on that just because.  I am really not feeling the holiday spirit this year.  Usually I get excited as Christmas gets closer, but this year I could really care less.  Depressing?  Yeah I know.  I am actually excited to see Elias with his presents.
I think not [...]

ZOMBIES!!! Pew pew!

Date posted: October 5, 2008

Last week I was surfing the web for zombie related items.  I came across a board game site that had a game called Last Night on Earth The Zombie Game
.  I immediately became intrigued.  I started saving my ducats so I could get this game before Halloween.  Alas, I only made it a week before I [...]
